Hey y’all!

Welcome to on Plum Nelly

Raising 5 kids, including a set of triplets, (yes, they are all mine) taught me early on that perfect is a synonym for make-believe, not to sweat the small stuff, and to give myself a break because at the end of the day, if everyone is accounted for, it’s a win. The most important lesson I hope to have taught my children is nothing goes as planned so be ready to roll with it, and most importantly, you have the power to make your dreams happen. Keep smiling and your attitude will follow.

My goal with this site is to invite you to be a part of our family. Check out the recipes we love most, the home improvement projects I’m tackling next, the gifts I’m sharing with the people I love, and the must-have pieces I’m adding to my closet.

My Current Gig:

Working full-time as a marketing director for an orthopedic clinic. Four of my five children are in college. My oldest is a senior at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA. My second child is a student at the University of Georgia, currently taking a gap year through EFfgapyear.com. He is in Costa Rica as I type this, doing a Service Leadership module. The triplets are 18; one is enrolled as a freshman at the University of Mississippi. One is taking a Gap year with EF, a program we have all been so happy and impressed with, and at the time of this blog, is in the Dominican Republic doing her Service Leadership module. Both she and her older brother will be home mid-December for a few weeks before returning for the spring EF modules mid-January. The other triplet is a high school senior in Special Education at our local high school, supported by a wonderful team of teachers. In addition to his high school curriculum, he has worked at Publix Supermarket for over 2 years. Yes, shopping and working at Publix is a pleasure. Shout out to this wonderful organization for their love and support of the special ed community.

The love of my life and the glue that keeps all my moving pieces together is Scott. Scott has two beautiful girls, the same ages as my older two, whom I adore. Our blended big family delivers non-stop energy, excitement, and drama. Let’s be honest, you can’t have this many people in one family without it! LOL

Welcome to the fam! We hope you’ll take away some good ideas, tips, and laughs. So happy you are here!
